La Hacienda Market was founded in 1997 by Ramiro Chavez and his wife, Claudia, who were born in the state of Michoacan in Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1990. They now have three daughters. The first La Hacienda Market was established in East Palo Alto in 2000 and relocated to San Mateo in 2000. The couple opened a second store in South San Francisco in 2011. 

We are passionate about preserving and celebrating  Hispanic heritage with their family. We strive preserve the Mexican, Central, and South American heritages and traditions alive in our families in the United States for generations to come.
